Hansen comes to SDC after being the assistant cross country and track and field coach for Cuyamaca College from June 2013 to November 2014. Hansen is also a First Grade Teacher at Literacy First Charter.

"I am very excited for this new adventure with SDC," Hansen said. "I have always wanted to coach collegiate athletes and am stoked to have the chance to do that in a Christian school setting."

Hansen graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Spanish.

She earned athlete of the week twice in her career as a track and field star. Her first athlete of the week award was in May 2006 and second in March 2007.  Hansen was also named to the Big West All-Academic Team.

"I am most looking forward to getting to know my cross country team, helping them to become stronger runners and helping them build their characters," Hansen said. "I'm looking forward to seeing their progress throughout the season and am honored that I get to be a part of it!  What an awesome opportunity!"

Both teams finished ninth.

On the men's side, Daniel Camacho led the way for the Hawks finishing in 43rd place with a time of 31:00 in the 8K averaging a 6:14 mile pace. Hunter Ennis followed Camacho finishing 61st overall and a 35:26 time. Joey Holland (62nd, 36:42), Joseph Arellano (64th, 37:05), and Christian Garcia (68th, 38:33) capped all runners. They finished with a team score of 236, 14 points behind eighth place Menlo College.

Heather Borsos was the quickest for the women finishing the 5K race in 61st place and a time of 23:22. Lilian Gomez-Garza followed three spots behind in 64th and 23:39. Karla Camarillo (77th, 27:21), Savannah McGrath (79th, 28:00) and Carla Loza (83rd, 45:15) rounded out the SDC runners. They finished with a total of 244 points, 37 behind eighth place Menlo College.  

Both men's and women's teams failed to report five runners to attain a team score.

Daniel Camacho again led the charge for SDC in the 8k race. His time of 35:14.64 was good for 89th place. Hunter Ennis was next in 92nd with a time of 36:04.66. Joey Holland (95th, 39:42.18), rounded out the Hawks runners.

Carina Oswald topped SDC runners in 112th overall and a time of 28:55.95. Lilian Gomez-Garza was next in 125th and 31:16.76.Karla Camarillo (129th, 33:25.63) completed the women's runners for SDC.

The Hawks will race in the Titan Invitational for their next meet on Friday, Oct. 23. Women's 5k race will start at 4:45 p.m. with men's to follow.

On the men's side, Daniel Camacho finished first on the team, 52nd overall with a time of 34:19.88 in the 8k race. Hunter Ennis was next in 53rd sporting a time of 35:14.78. Joey Holland rounded out the runners in 55th at 37:18.51.

Heather Borsos finished tops on the women's team finishing the 5k race in 27:48.10, good for 45th. Liliana Gomez-Garza finished in 50th with a time of 30:36.49. Karla Camrillo was next, finishing 51st and 32:02.94.

Both teams failed to qualify a team score.

The Hawks continue the season next week at the UCSD Triton Classic. 

The Men's and Women's team both finished ninth.

Alessandro Moriano was tops for the men's side in 59th place and in a time of 34:14.64. Juan Maffey was next completing the 8K course in 61st and 34:53.18. Joey Holland (36:17.77, 63rd), Roy Galvan (36:34.30, 65th), Joseph Bridgeforth (37:10.26, 66th), and Maksym Zasadnyy (41:52.51, 68th) followed next to complete the runners.

Biola's Kevin Horchler finished first in the Men's race with a time of 26:08.52, but The Master's College won first as a team.

Heather Borsos finished first for the SDC women with a time of 20:55.45, good for 39th. Liliana Gomez-Garza finished in 66th place and 24:17.02 over the 5K course. Following Gomez-Garza was Karla Camarillo (68th, 25:11.96), Savanah McGrath (70th, 26:50.50) and Kendra Chamberlain (71st, 28:17.30) to round out the SDC runners.

The Master's Karis Franklin came in first overall on the women's side with a time of 17:41.41 as Westmont College finished first in the team score. 

The Men's team finished 14th and the Women's was unable to field a team score due to injuries.

Joey Holland finish in first for the men's side in the 8K race. He finished with a time of 32:56.3 good for 73rd. Joseph Bridgeforth came right after in 74th finishing with a time of 33:19.7. Alessandro Moriano (35:22.4, 75th) Juan Maffey (36:24.2, 76th) and Rolando Rivera (47:03.6, 77th) rounded out the runners.

Liliana Gomez-Garza was best for the women's side finishing the 5K course in 23:20. Karla Camarillo was next with a time of 24:45.6 as Kendra Chamberlain was the last SDC runner to record a time of 33:00.3.

The Hawks will have two weeks to prepare for the GSAC Championships. The final race will be on Nov. 8 at The Master's College in Santa Clarita. 

Finishing tops for the men's side was Joey Holland with an overall finish of 94th and a time of 31:13 in the 8K course. Eight seconds later, Joseph Bridgeforth crossed the finish line in 96th. Following them was Alessandro Moriano (103rd, 32:48), Juan Maffey (105th, 33:04), Roy Galvan (119th, 35:18), Maksym Zasadnyy (131st, 37:52), and Joey Rivera (143rd, 44:06).

Heather Borsos finished with the best time on the women's side with a time of 20:18 in the 5K course, which was good for 51st overall. Liliana Gomez-Garza was next in 81st and a 21:47 time. Karla Camarillo (112nd, 25:00), Amanda Wilkinson (135th, 31:28), and Julia Baker (137th, 32:34) rounded out the SDC runners.

The Hawks will run in one last tune-up meet at the Biola NAIA West Coast Jamboree next week before the GSAC Championships on Nov. 8. 

The Women's team finished 16th out of 18 teams, while the Men's finished 14th out of 14.

Heather Borsos finished tops on the women's side as she ran a personal best 20:25.20 in the 5K race good for 76th. Liliana Gomez-Garza finished next for the Hawks with a time of 22:29.87 and 128th place. Followed were Savanah McGrath (25:57.18, 150th), Karla Camrillo (26:02.33, 151st), Kendra Chmaberlain (27:47.89, 159th), and Julia Baker (28:41.62, 163rd).

Joseph Bridgeforth came in first for the men's team with a time of 31:31.05 in the 8K course, good for 113th. Alessandro Moriano was next with 31:42.44 and 116th. Following Moriano were Juan Maffey (31:54.55, 120th), Roy Galvan (34:42.64, 132nd), and Maksym Zasadnyy (39:19.78, 141st).

The Hawks will race in the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge next week, starting at 8 a.m.

The women's team finished eighth while the men's team recorded no team score.

Three runners ran on the men's side in the 8K race. Joseph Bridgeforth finished first on the team with a time of 33:07.60 good for 21st place. Joey Holland was right on his tracks finishing in 22nd place and completing the course in 33:18.40. Alessandro Moriano capped the men's runners with a finish of 26th place and a time of 35:28.30.

Heather Borsos was the top runner for the women's team in the 5K race. Borsos finished in 39th place with a time of 21:30.70. Liliana Gomez-Garza followed in 53rd place with an ending time of 24:05.60. Next were Karla Camarillo (60th, 26:35.10), Savanah McGrath (62nd, 27:11.80), Kendra Chamberlain (63rd, 28:46.40), Julie Baker (66th, 32:31.60), and Amanda Wilkinson (67th, 35:57.40).

The Hawks will get much needed time to heal injuries and get healthier as their next meet isn't until Oct. 11 at the Vanguard Invitational. 

The Women's team finished 19th out of 20th while the Men's team results is currently unavailable.

Heather Borsos finished first for the Hawks coming in at 133rd. She finished the 5K course with a time of 20:59. Liliana Gomez-Garza was second with a time of 22:33, good for 202nd.  Following Liliana were Savannah McGrath (233rd, 25:03), Karla Camarillo (237th, 25:30), Kendra Chamberlain (242nd, 27:38), and Julia Baker (247th, 29:31)

Juan Maffey was the first SDC runner to cross the finish line with a time of 32:07 over the 8K course, which was good for 166th. Joey Holland followed and came in 180th and an end time of 33:32. Joseph Bridgeforth (182nd, 33:35) and Alessandro Moriano (183rd, 33:45) rounded out the runners for the Hawks. The fifth runner for SDC, Maksym Zasadnyy, finished the course but due to technical issues, his results are unavailable.

Both teams will be running next week in the San Diego State Aztec Invitational starting at 8:30 a.m.

Both teams finished eighth in the eight team field. 

For the men, Micah Parks led the Hawks with a time of 30:29 and 52nd overall in the 8K course. Joseph Bridgeforth was next in 53rd with a time of 31:04. Following the two were Calvin Chambers (55th, 32:40), Samuel Rodriguez (56th, 33:17), and Sergio Flores (57th, 38:36)

Deborah Cardenas led the Lady Hawk runners in 54th place and with a time of 21:48 in the 5K course. Miriam Cardenas was next with in 59th place and finished in 22:08. Karla Camarillo followed in 64th place and with a time of 23:01. Rachel Uy (68th, 24:28), Mayra Huizar (70th, 26:27), and Veronica Martinez (71st, 27:36) rounded out the Lady Hawks. 

Biola University finished first overall for the women's side as The Master's College finished on top for the men.
