            <title>[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Releases 2016 Schedule</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; The San Diego Christian women&#39;s soccer team made history in 2013 as the first team to make it to the GSAC Tournament. For three straight years, Head Coach <a class="rosterProfileLink rosterCoachProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/21/7/1433.php">Josh Westermann</a> and his teams has successfully made it to the GSAC Tournament, including a semi-final berth in 2014.</p>&nbsp;<p>Attempting to make it four years in a row into the playoffs, Coach Westermann released the schedule for the 2016 season, Monday.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks open their season with three-straight home games with the first against Embry-Riddle on Aug. 25. Five days later, SDC takes on University of Antelope Valley and close the homestand out against Marymount California on Sept. 2.</p>&nbsp;<p>September 7th is their first road game of the year against Soka University. But then they enjoy the friendly confines for three games in six days. The Hawks host Bethesda University on Sept. 9, two days before they take on Colorado Christian on Sept. 11. The last of the three games is on Sept. 15 against Saint Katherine.</p>&nbsp;<p>A road game against Providence Christian is the final tune-up game for the Hawks before they dig into GSAC play, starting on Sept 22. against Menlo College at home. Two road games against Westmont College and Hope International stand in the way of another 3-game homestand. The Hawks host The Master&#39;s College on Oct. 1. Biola makes their way down to Santee on Oct. 8 and Westmont College two days later on Oct. 10.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC will again be road warriors, this time for three games before hosting Arizona Christian in the last game of the season on Oct. 29.</p>&nbsp;<p>To see the full schedule, click here. &nbsp;</p>]]></description>

            <title>[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Signs Local Product Mackenzie Asnicar</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; Head Coach <a class="rosterProfileLink rosterCoachProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1122.php">Josh Westermann</a> and the SDC women&#39;s soccer program have announced the signing of local standout Mackenzie Asnicar, their first recruit this offseason.</p>&nbsp;<p>Asnicar attends nearby Santana High School and played forward for the Sultans, who made it to the CIF San Diego Section Playoffs.</p>&nbsp;<p>&quot;Kenzie will make an immediate impact in our attack,&quot; Coach Westermann said. &quot;She&#39;s fast, left footed, and a proven goal scorer. Her ability to make penetrating runs in the final third will be a much needed weapon in our attack.&quot;</p>&nbsp;<p>Asnicar was a Four year varsity starter and All-Conference player at Santana High School with a 3.5 GPA. &nbsp;She earned best offensive award and First Team All-Conference the last two years.</p>&nbsp;<p>She&#39;s scored over 50 goals throughout her high school career and lead the team to a League Championship in 2016. Asnicar plays for the top flight Coast League team at San Diego United Soccer Club for coach Jason Heth. The team has won multiple championships including the recent Vegas Showcase, Nomads Showcase, Presidents Cup, Knott&#39;s Forest Cup, and Crusaders Cup.</p>&nbsp;]]></description>

            <title>[Women's Soccer] Oray, Gonzalez Earn 2015 All-GSAC Team Honors</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1232.php">Alejandra Gonzalez</a> and <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1125.php">Vivian Oray</a> were named to the 2015 All-GSAC Team presented by Under Armour announced by the conference Tuesday.</p>&nbsp;<p>The two were among 22 others recognized and voted on by coaches in the GSAC.</p>&nbsp;<p>Gonzalez was fourth on the team with five goals and also tallied two assists. She was a stable force in the midfield for the Hawks starting in 14 of the 16 games.</p>&nbsp;<p>Oray led the team with 12 goals seven assists. Her 12 goals were good for second in the GSAC as well as her seven assists. Oray was also named to the 2013 All-GSAC Team as a freshman.</p>&nbsp;<p>Oray and Gonzalez look to guide the Hawks back into the GSAC Semifinals as they did in 2014. First in their way are the Vanguard Lions.             <title>[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Loses Early Lead, Falls To No. 14 Biola</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; The San Diego Christian Women&#39;s Soccer team started on the right foot in a tough GSAC match against No. 14 Biola, leading 2-0 at the break.</p>&nbsp;<p>But the Eagles scored four unanswered goals to top the Hawks 4-2 Tuesday.</p>&nbsp;<p>With the loss, SDC falls to 7-5-1 overall and 2-4 in GSAC play. The Eagles improve to 10-1-3 on the season and 3-0-2 in conference.</p>&nbsp;<p>Shayna Peteresen-Burman tallied both goals in the first half. In the 25th minute, <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1125.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Vivian Oray</a> quickly played a restart after a foul. Her pass went over the Biola defensive line to a running Petersen-Burman. She placed the shot past the Eagles keeper for the 1-0 lead. Twelve minutes later, she struck again off another pass from Oray. Her through ball sprung Petersen-Burman and she buried the ball in the net.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks kept their 2-0 lead until the halftime break. Both teams matched each other in shots at seven.</p>&nbsp;<p>But the second half, it was all Biola. Taylor Venegas tallied their first two goals in the 49th and 50th minute as the Eagles quickly tied the game at 2-2.</p>&nbsp;<p>Biola took the lead in the 71st minute off a corner kick then struck quickly after in the 72nd minute to cap all scoring.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks will take some much needed rest until their next game. SDC travels to Santa Clarita to take on The Master&#39;s College on Oct. 21 with kickoff slated for 3 p.m.</p>]]></description>

The Firestorm fall to 2-7 on the season and 0-5 in conference.</p>&nbsp;<p>Oray&#39;s first goal came in the 11th minute off a corner kick from <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1134.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Allie Leon</a>.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC had 10 shots in the first half, holding ACU to four attempts.</p>&nbsp;<p>In the 50th minute, Oray added another one via a penalty-kick for a 2-0 lead.</p>&nbsp;<p>Munguila&#39;s goal came in the 83rd minute to add some insurance.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC finished with 20 shots in the game.</p>&nbsp;<p><a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1135.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Katherine Koury</a> tallied eight saves in the shutout.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks welcome No. 14 Biola on Tuesday.             <title>[Women's Soccer] No. 12 Lions Top Women's Soccer</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; The No. 12 Vanguard Lions scored four first half and four second half goals to defeat the San Diego Christian College Women&#39;s Soccer team on Tuesday defeating the Hawks 8-1.</p>&nbsp;<p>With the loss, the Hawks fall to 6-4-1 overall and 1-3 in GSAC play. The Lions improved to 9-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference.</p>&nbsp;<p>VU tallied goals in the 16th, 23rd, and 25th, minute to storm out to a 3-0 lead. The Hawks gained one back when <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1232.php">Alejandra Gonzalez</a> scored a goal from 20 yards out from a pass from <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1145.php">Katherine Day</a>.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Lions added one in the 44th minute to take a 4-1 lead into the half. Vanguard outshot the Hawks 10-6 in the opening frame.</p>&nbsp;<p>Vanguard came out quickly in the second, scoring their fifth goal of the game just 11 minutes into the half. They added goals in the 62nd, 68th, and 87th minutes to conclude the scoring on the day.</p>&nbsp;<p><a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1135.php">Katherine Koury</a> registered five saves in 75 minutes. <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1141.php">Sandra Rivas</a> came in the 76th minute on and tallied two saves between the pipes.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks will travel to Phoenix on Saturday to take on the Firestorm in their next match.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

            <title>[Women's Soccer] Hawks Capture First GSAC Win of Season</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>ATHERTON, Calif. &ndash; <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1233.php">Allie Hill</a> and <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1236.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Shayna Petersen-Burman</a>&#39;s goals lifted the Hawks past Menlo College 2-1 Saturday afternoon to win their first GSAC game of the season.</p>&nbsp;<p>With the win, SDC improves to 6-3-1 and 1-2 in conference play. The Oaks fall to 5-2-4 and 1-1-1 in the GSAC.</p>&nbsp;<p>Hill&#39;s goal started the scoring for the Hawks in the 22nd minute. She headed a corner kick from <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1134.php">Allie Leon</a> but the Menlo keeper saved her first attempt. Hill followed up her own shot and headed it again, this time into the net for the 1-0 lead.</p>&nbsp;<p><a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1135.php">Katherine Koury</a> came up big all game registering 11 saves. She preserved the 1-0 lead late in the first half with a save in the 43rd minute, just before half.</p>&nbsp;<p>Menlo led 8-7 in the shot department at the break.</p>&nbsp;<p>Petersen-Burman increased SDC&#39;s lead in the 61st minute as she scored off a pass from <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1232.php">Alejandra Gonzalez</a> for a 2-0 lead.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Oaks got on the board in the 73rd minute but it wasn&#39;t enough as the Hawks held on for the win.</p>&nbsp;<p>Menlo outshot the Hawks for the game, 18-12.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC will host No. 12 Vanguard on Tuesday with kickoff scheduled for noon.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

            <title>[Women's Soccer] No. 14 Biola Defeats Women's Soccer 4-0</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>LA MIRADA, Calif. &ndash; Four second half goals were the deciding factor as No. 14 Biola defeated the San Diego Christian Women&#39;s Soccer team 4-0 Saturday night.</p>&nbsp;<p>With the loss, the Hawks fall to 5-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the GSAC. The Eagles improve to 7-0-2 and 1-0-1 in conference play.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks outshot the Eagles in the first, 4-2 but no team found the back of the net. <a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1232.php">Alejandra Gonzalez</a> registered the first shot for the Hawks in the 24th minute but it was saved by Biola&#39;s goalkeeper.</p>&nbsp;<p><a class="rosterProfileLink Female WSO" href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1125.php">Vivian Oray</a>&#39;s shot in the 44th minute went wide for the last shot of the half. Three of the four shots found the frame. Biola tallied their two shots in the first 17 minutes of the half. The Hawks held them without a shot the rest of the first.</p>&nbsp;<p>After a scoreless first half, the Eagles started the scoring early in the second with a goal in the 48th minute. Biola scored seven minutes later to increase their lead to 2-0. The Eagles tallied goals in the 62nd and 74th minute to cap all scoring.</p>&nbsp;<p>Four of the five shots in the second missed the frame for the Hawks.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC will take a week off before their next contest. The Hawks travel to Menlo on Oct. 3 with a kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m.</p>]]></description>

            <title>[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Falls in GSAC Opener to No. 7 Westmont</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>SANTEE, Calif. &ndash; The San Diego Christian Women&#39;s Soccer team opened up their GSAC slate against No. 7 Westmont on Tuesday. After cutting their deficit in half late in the second half, the Warriors extended their lead and held off the Hawks 3-1.</p>&nbsp;<p>With the loss, SDC falls to 5-2-1 overall and 0-1 in conference. The Warriors improve to 5-2 on the season and 1-0 in the GSAC.</p>&nbsp;<p>Westmont struck first in the 24th minute. Brooke Lillywhite took a pass from Angela Brown and slotted the ball past <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1135.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Katherine Koury</a> for the 1-0 lead. The Warriors led by that score at the break.</p>&nbsp;<p>Westmont held a 10-1 shot advantage over the Hawks in the first.</p>&nbsp;<p>Four minutes into the second, Westmont struck again for a 2-0 lead.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks got on the board in the 68th minute as reigning GSAC Offensive Player of the Week, <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1125.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Vivian Oray</a>, blasted a shot 45 yards out and just was out of reach of the Warrior goalkeeper.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC looked to tie the match a minute later but <a href="http://www.sdcchawks.com/roster/20/7/1234.php" class="rosterProfileLink  Female WSO" >Sara Lou</a>&#39;s header was saved.</p>&nbsp;<p>Westmont locked the game in the 83rd minute with a long goal from Destinee Adams.</p>&nbsp;<p>The Hawks were outshot 24-4 in the contest as Koury was busy all game long. She registered 11 saves in the 90 minutes.</p>&nbsp;<p>SDC is back on the field on Saturday as they travel to No. 22 Biola. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.</p>]]></description>
